A 51-year-old woman, Ama Adobea has severely burnt the hand of her 10-year-old grandson at Assin-Bisidruasi for stealing fish from a pot of soup.

The victim, in an interview with Adom News explained that the suspect who is his grandmother angrily dragged his hand into a fire as punishment for stealing.

“She put my hands in the fire and whipped me afterwards. I only took meat from the soup. My mother is in the village and my dad is at the hospital…” the boy cried.

Nonetheless, the disturbing act has currently left severe wounds on the right hand of the victim preventing him from going to school.
