GFA hosts Okocha, Bundesliga officials

Nigerian football legend, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, and officials of African Exclusive Bundesliga Broadcaster, StarTimes, have paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee to discuss ways of developing the game in the country.

Okocha, a former German Bundesliga great with Eintracht Frankurt in the 1990s, is in the country to promote the league.

He arrived in the country last Sunday together with officials from the DFL as he met with fans and StarTimes subscribers at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

Addressing the media after a closed-door meeting, the president of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi, welcomed Okocha to Ghana and thanked him for his inspirational advice for the development of the sports in the country.

Former Ghanaian internationals who played in the Bundesliga such as Ibrahim Tanko, who played for Borussia Dortmund and Freiburg, C.K. Akonnor (Wolfsburg) also welcomed Okocha and thanked him for coming to Ghana to help promote the local league.
