Former President John Agyekum Kuffuor has said that he has been told by God that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo would win the December 7th polls.

The former President who was the guest of honour at the party’s final rally held at the car park of the Trade Fair Site in Accra said he had that great feeling that the twice-defeated flagbearer of the party would win the elections when he woke up on Sunday.

“I must confess, I am a Christian but I hardly read the Bible. While I thought of what to say at this function, something told me to open the Bible and I read the Book of Joshua where I saw God directing Joshua how to lead Israel unto the promised land.

“God has spoken and his word is that the NPP would win Wednesday’s elections, I had the feeling that the victory is starting from Accra through Eastern, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and I am confident we would sweep Central and share the ballots in the other regions with our opponent,” he said.

According to him, Ghana would be better under the leadership of the NPP which he said worked to ensure that the country moved to a middle-income status.
To him, the country would have been better off if the NDC government had continued with the good works of the NPP.

He said that the NPP is good at the governance of this country because its founders designed the road map to Ghana attaining independence.

“The founders of the UP tradition designed the strategies to Ghana becoming independent. Nkrumah was only an addition and hence able to administer the country better…,” he added.

The former President further urged the youth of the country especially first time voters to see this year’s election as one that would shape their future for the best.

“Wednesday’s elections is no joke, it’s about our future…we have come to a cross-road and we would do the right thing with the right leadership led by Akufo Addo supported by Bawumia…,” he declared.

Lifting up the hand of  Nana Addo, former President Kuffour declared that he was presenting the next President of Ghana to Ghanaians.
